Brother was bitten? EMERGENCY! Help.?

My brother was bitten by something yesterday. This morning he was complaining of now feeling good. As he came home from school, his foot (that was bitten) was slightly swollen. We soaked it in warm water. He also is having cases of diarrhea, and stomach pains. Could he have been bitten by something poisonous? And should we go to the emergency room? My mom is debating weather or not we should wait for bigger side-effects or go now.

  1. That sounds like the symptoms of a black widow bite. He NEEDS to go to see a doctor. Please don't wait!

  2. Because he is feeling bad to the stomach I would treat the bite as a brown recluse spider bite.  Get some used coffee grounds and place them in a pack around the bite.  As they dry out it will draw out the poisons and he should start to feel better.  You will probably want to put the grounds on fresh when they dry out and keep them on repeatedly at least till the swelling has gone back to normal for one day.  God bless you and I'll be praying for your brothers speedy recovery.

  3. Uhm, to be safe rather than sorry, I'd go to the ER. Even if it isn't that serious, what's the harm taking a trip to the hospital? And you don't want to wait for worse symptoms. His health is more valuable than the cost of the visit, so you guys should take him ;)

  4. He has an infection in the foot.  He needs to go to the Dr for antibiotics.  Please go sooner than later.

  5. It might be rabies.  Even a small bite can give you rabies.

You can die from untreated rabies. You can get a bite from a rabid animal (like a bat) and not even know it and wind up dead from rabies.

Have I rabies made myself clear rabies?

    ER now.

  6. The diarrhea and stomach pains could be totally unrelated and coincidental, but if he were my son, I would definelty call my family doctor and tell them what's going on.  They should have an oncall nurse who will call you back if you call and leave a message.  Better safe than sorry!!!  I hope he's ok!  If you can't get in touch with dr.  I would go to the ER, just to be safe.

  7. yes..sound,s like a brown recluse spider..you can try the coffee ground,s but I,d take him to the emergency room before the toxin travel,s too far...this can be very serious.
