I have a clutch of eggs that my corn snakes laid. I removed them as instructed and placed them in the moss and put them in a cool dark place to hatch. within a week, I have bugs or mites all over my desk. I have cleaned and recleaned and can not get them out. any suggestions? BTW I own a bird two cats and a dog.

  1. Are they on the eggs if they are then they probably arnt good if they arnt then idk

  2. pet stores carry DUST that kills mites

    buy that

  3. There's still a chance. Usually insects only affect the bad eggs and don't harm the good ones. I've seen various bugs get on snake eggs, from ants to gnats to wood lice, which are a tiny bug which feeds on the wood and bedding, maybe moss as well, and is often mistaken for snake mites, but wood lice are harmless to snakes and eggs. I would see them all the time in wood chips and cypress mulch. But as far as bugs and eggs, this is the reason I keep my eggs in airtight containers, so bugs can't get to them. Opening the containers weekly gives the eggs enough fresh air to survive, as well as it keeps the humidity high. There's not really much you can do at this point without risking harm to the eggs.

  4. THINK U CAN CALL THEM "EGGS" TOAST!!! SORRY
