Brouhaha to post seasonal victory through the PHS Treadsmart Handicap (For Lady Amateur Riders) at Haydock
The Class 5 PHS Treadsmart Handicap (For Lady Amateur Riders) will be staged at Haydock over a mile, three furlongs and two hundred yards on Friday, 25th May. The race has attracted a line-up of twelve four-year and older runners who will contest
for the £2,184 prize money.
Brouhaha, Bahhare’s eight-year-old bay gelding out of mare, Top Of The Morning, is the only entry among all the contestants who have raced at Haydock recently but could not finish as desired.
He has been active during the new season five times already and till yet his profile for the current season is deprived of any successes.
He raced the fifth outing of the season on 12th May in the Network Sales & Marketing Handicap at Haydock over a mile and two and a half furlong. The race was won by Licence To Till who was riding with Joe Fanning and led the runner up of the race,
Sugar Hiccup, by three and a half lengths.
Sugar Hiccup was the 5/2 favourite of the race.
Brouhaha ended fourth on the track of five and had Royston Ffrench onboard.
The last time he raced at Haydock was on 13th September in the Betdaq The Betting Exchange Haydock Park Apprentice Training Series Handicap over a mile and two and a half furlong. He won the race by a 3 ¾ lengths’ margin while riding with Harry
Bentley.
Mill Mick qualified as the runner up and was soon followed by Jupiter Fidius. The 7/2 favourite of the race, King Zeal, ended fourth on the track of nine.
Today the eight-year-old will race through the sixth outing of the season, he is equipped with recent experience and a win at the race course during the previous season.
An entry to look out for is Ptolomeos, Kayf Tara’s nine-year-old bay gelding out of mare, Lucy Tufty, as he has struck the seasonal victory through the last race that he took part in.
He won the Calverts Carpets & Flooring LTD Handicap on 11th May at Nottingham over a mile and two furlongs.
He was riding with Amy Scott and led the runner up, Penderyn, by nine lengths.
It will be his first outing at Haydock during the new season today.
