Question:

Brown/Black Recluse Spiders!?!? help plz.?

It looked like a brown recluse, but it was black.Are they posines spiders?? I live in West Virginia, and never have seen any big a$$ spider like this.What can i do to keep this spiders and other bugs out of my house?!? thank you.

  1. It's not a brown recluse if it's not brown and there's no such thing as a black recluse.  It's not a black widow either and those are the only poisonous spiders in your area.  If you have a house bug infestation like roaches, silverfish, or ants, call an exterminator.  After that the spiders will be fewer (because of the poison or lack of prey I don't know).  If you see other bugs, they're just lost.  Fix screens or wherever they get in at.


  2. Brown recluse is a very poisonous spider and you should be extremely careful if there are any around, the only other poisonous spider in north america is the black widow.

    If you're bitten by one go to a hospital immediately

    Here are a few safety tips:

    It would be wise to shake out your clothing and shoes before dressing.

    Inspect items before using.

    Don't garden, handle firewood, pine straw, etc, without gloves.

    Don't go barefoot.

    Eliminate as much clutter as possible in storage areas and frequently dust and vacuum around windows, corners of rooms, and under furniture.

    Call a pest control company and ask them to come check it out.

  5. well bugs you can buy things to keep them away, try googling it. but i dont think anything can keep spiders away. there completly differnt. and i hate spiders i wish they would stay away from mee too! haha good luck
