Question:

Brown bugs that fly/jump and "crunch"

I've been having a bug problem at my dad's house. There are these brown bugs that fly AND jump. I saw one fly in my room and fly behind my dresser. I turned out the light to sleep and I heard it flying around, turned on the light and located it on the windowsill. I tried to crush it under a glass but I couldn't get a good angle on it and I heard it jumping underneath the part I trapped it under. I finally did kill it, but I heard a crunching sound whenever I crushed it. Yuck. We've been having this problem for a couple of weeks now and it's gross. I've even found a few in my bed. As for a description, they're brown, about an inch long, but longer than it is wide (skinny?), has "sections", and can fly, crawl (walk? not sure of the correct verb), and jump.

Any help anyone can provide will be GREATLY appreciated!!! I've been losing sleep over these stupid bugs. Thank you!
