I'm ttc and AF is late? Last night I had cramps and brown discharge, any ideas what this could be? AF was due on Sunday, I took a HPT on Sunday and it was BFN. Any ideas/suggestions are definitely welcome. Thanks to all and good luck ttc.

  1. It could be implantation bleeding.  It can start at 5 days post ovulation and continue for weeks after.  I had it for 5 days before and 2 days after af was due.  Pregnancy also causes the cervix to engorge with blood so it becomes sensitive to spotting.

Hormones double every 48 hrs.  Take another test to see if it comes out positive.

SO FRUSTRATING.  I always have a 12 luteal phase and I am now 14dpo.  No period, no PMS signs, and my temp is still above coverline but slowly decreasing.  I just wish AF would show up OR a BFP so I knew.

Someone told me yesterday that maybe my spotting yesterday was late implantation bleeding.  I hope they were right but I would think my temp would go up not down.

Best of luck to you and tons of baby dust.

  3. It is possible to have late implantation (it takes place 6-12 days after ovulation) maybe you just implanted late. If you don't start test again in 1 week. It could also be the start of a wacky period.
