Question:

Brown hair dye on highlights?

I have dark brown hair with some 'flashes' of blonde through the bottom and a bit in my fridge. Does anyone know what will happen if i dye all my hair brown? I would imagine it would be a different colour on the highlights?? Can any hairdressers tell me what would be done in the salon.

Thank you in advance

  1. They tell you everything. I wondered that before because I have had a million different colours in my hair. For me, it looked a little different then after another dye of the same colour it was looking all even and good.

    Good luck! >3

  2. It should all just turn the shade of brown you dye it. Depending on how light the blonde is though. If it's really bleach blonde, then stay away from ash browns because it will turn your hair green. You should choose a very warm golden blonde, or really red shade and apply to the blonde. This fills the hair with the red tones that were taken out from the bleach. Then it will be safe to dye over with the brown shade. I've gone through this too many times to count. Hair dying is all about trial and error. Good Luck! <3
