Question:

Brown sugar wine?

I know some people make "sugar wine" which is just water and table sugar, and I know people make mead with honey, but what about Making it from brown sugar, would that taste like a combination of the two? (I'm assuming this because white sugar comes from brown sugar, and molasses is similar to honey...)

  1. It would be more likely to taste like very dilute rum. Why do people keep aiming for the worst? If you want wine, there are a lot of fruits and vegetables out there and you might just wind up with something worth drinking if you ferment them correctly.

  2. I can't imagine it would taste very good. If you are going to take the time and effort to make something throw some fruit or fruit juice concentrate in with it.
