Brownish red discharge?

This is a really embarrassing question to ask, but I've been having a brownish red discharge and I smell. Could this be something else or could I be starting my period?

Sounds like you'll be starting your period soon. Often times before a female starts to menustrate, there will be some spotting. Give it a few days to see if it clears up or if your period comes. If it becomes worse or if you see anything else unusual, see your gynecologist.
