Browns’ running back Peyton Hillis to miss next game – NFL News
Cleveland Browns running back star Peyton Hillis is likely to miss this Sunday’s game due to a hamstring injury.
If Hillis is unable to participate the coming week’s game, this will be his sixth straight miss, as he has not played any game or taken part in any practice session for the past five weeks weeks.
Peyton got injured on October 16 and has not played any game since. He has missed total seven games in the current season of the National Football League (NFL), the American football's premier league, including his latest spree
of five games.
Browns’ coach, Pat Shurmur has confirmed that the Peyton Hillis will be out for this Sunday's game. The Coach said that he was hopeful about Peyton's return at some point in the current season. However, he added, that he could
not give a timeline about his comeback. Shurmur said, "Based on what he's rehabbing, his hamstring, I'd anticipate that he'll be back soon. I can't tell you yet exactly, that's the thing. Each guy's different."
Peyton, who rushed about 1200 yards during the previous season, has failed to repeat the same performance this year, owing to his injuries and controversies.
Shurmur further commented on Browns’ recovery time and comeback of two other key players; their running back Montario Hardesty and rookie fullback Owen Marecic who suffered a concussion in their game against Jacksonville Jaguars
last Sunday.
Hardesty participated in practice last week. However, he was not included in the game against Jaguars. The Coach said that Browns were giving him an extra time for recovery.
"For those of us who walk, a calf is no big deal," Shurmur said. "But if you're a runner you have to make sure it's right."
Shurmur, however, did not say anything about Hardesty's return for the next game.
The status of rookie fullback Owen Marecic about the next game is unclear. He had played during their last game despite his injury. However, it is expected that he might not be available in the forthcoming game.
