i think lee could punch harder. SPEED IS POWER. lee was lightnin fast. tyson couldnt touch him.

pound for pound i can buy that but is tough because Tyson is probably the smallest heavyweight champion with a crapload of KOs in the modern era....but Bruce weighed all of 125 pounds and i am more than sure at that weight class he would of KOed quite a few people .... but i have it a toss up pound for pound

I can never really understand where the martial arts folk are coming from when they post stupid c**p like that myself, the funniest one i heard was about some martial artist knocking out cows and another was one who could rip hearts clean out of peoples chests, i think most are young kids who watch too much mortal kombat and films like that without realising that they are just films, just like all Bruce Lees stuff was all for film, we all know that Bruce was very good at what he did but i really think people tarnish his standing when they try to elevate him to God like status, at the end of the day Bruce was at the most 130 lb in weight it is impossible for him to punch as hard as any Heavyweight in pounds per square inch never lone one of the hardest hitting there has ever been.

No way.  The equation here is simple.  Both guys are genetically gifted athletes.  Both are naturally strong and very powerful.  Bruce Lee, despite his 5'7", 135-pound frame, could kill a man with one solid blow to the head, and so was Tyson.  But the thing is, prime Tyson outweighs Lee by about 90 pounds of pure muscle.  How in the world then could Lee punch harder than Tyson? A typical heavyweight boxer could load up at least 700 pounds of power in his punch.  Mike put all his body weight in his punches, so his punch power could exceed 1000 pounds.  How could a 135-pound guy, despite his vaunted strength and power, match that?

Mike tyson is big and strong but bruce lee knew how to focus his inner and outter strength and he was fast and strong, maybe mike can hit harder, it just depends.

Bruce Lee put his mind/tecnique into his punches... Tyson; legs and aggresion.  Either way, you'd end up in the hospital if one of them struck you.
