  1. they have extremly cheap vids on bruce lee that are great films on his life and art , they show and tell more than you could truly describe, his speed, strength, drive, like working out his body by just imagining the wieghts, or his two inch punch. people need to see to really under stand

  2. I would say he was into yelling in high pitch octaves. He was dressed like a girl and that the mob killed him and his son.

  3. Bruce lee is Martial Art's Martin Luther King

  4. Well, I have never met him, so not sure I could describe him, or who he really was.

I would send them to Linda Lee's book. Or the accounts of people who actually have met him.

I know of him, I know a lot from the stuff I have read, but I have never "met" him.

    1. I would describe him as a highly skilled Martial Artist, a conditioning beast, and a great Martial Arts film actor who was able to amazing things.

    2. I don't think he changed society as a whole. I think maybe he brought Martial Arts to the forefront of some people's mind, and at the very least brought the idea of the Eastern Martial Arts films to America. So he changed the film industry somewhat, but society as a whole? Not sure how I would say his impact on society.

    3. From what I read, he was a very likeable and fun guy. I would point people to the books, and interviews with people like Linda Lee, Joe Lewis, Dan Inosanto, Ted Wong, etc.

Those are people who had direct impact, not the people who blindly follow the myth of him and have exagerrated him to this deity like status.

I can't be sure, but I am fairly certain you never met him. A devotion to him, or to the idea that many have created about him isn't really meeting him.

Docroy77 actually has a lot of knowledge about Bruce Lee, mainly because he is old as the trees, and trained with many of Bruce's students...he should have an interesting answer to this if he comes on here.

  5. Bruce Lee made the blending of different fighting styles popular. It's difficult to say how his approach to martial arts changed society as a whole. He impacted his students and the martial arts community at large with his approach to practical fighting. His legacy lives on wherever Jun Fan, Jeet Kun Do, and all other reality-based combat systems are taught.
