to rat6969.. thats true. he was too fast and it wouldnt have looked good in a movie so he had slow down a little bit. he himself said so in an interview

Bruce Lee would win because he is unbelievably fast and strong afterward they could be friends but they would fight and jet li would lose

More real fighting experiences, more challenge fights Also, a smart tactician, also, watch all movies frame by frame pause and forward comparison and you can see that Bruce lee is about 4/100th of a second faster than Jet li with his punch.

And i heard that Bruce actually slows down for the camera.

Jet Li is a form champion. He is not a sparring Champion. However training years at the martial art academy means that he is a very good fighter, but there is no indication that he is one of the best. While Bruce has been praised by some of the best fighters at the time, saying that he is that good.  

When Jet  Li has less in terms of speed, power, tactic, and experiences. he is most likely to loose. Still he has a chance, nothing can be written on the star, so i give him a 10% chance of beating Bruce. The longer the fight drags on, the most likely Jet will loose. Jet has to play an attacking game to have a chance, he has to attack and hope that Bruce would make a mistake. If Bruce attacks, it is all over, you can't defend against someone who is faster and has better tactics. 10% is still a bit generous for Jet Li.

Fighting Requirements in order of importance

1. Intelligence/cunning

2. Power

3. Martial art skills

Bruce has the 1st two and also, he has a mental edge of a season fighter.

i agree, they would probably share ideas and be friends.

they are both super good, and super fast. i'd give the edge to Bruce because he trained for combat/defense. and Li Jian Jie (jet li) is basically a wushu student of Wu Bin.

i don't think Bruce was as dead set against traditional arts as some people say. i think basically he was simply trying to say.......you can do whatever YOU want to do (martial wise)...and noone can tell you different.
