Bruce lee?

alot of people belive bruce lee was kung fu fighter, however that is false in reality. alot ppl think lee was just an actor and good "famous" martial artist, which is also untrue, over the fact theres alot about bruce lee ppl dont know, what if i were to say bruce lee were the best fighter in the world??? and let me note, lee was not kung fu fighter,

lee became so powerful he could break wooden dummies on set with punches and just before his death, they planned to use machines in place for this,

he could kick a punching bag 15 feet through a yard and leave a hole in it.

he could break boards six inches thick,

and he believed that no way of fighting was the way of all true fighting.

i wont go through all the lies ppl place on lee and the false facts. but what if i said bruce lee was the best fighter in the world. (try looking at what bruce lee had done and realize he truly was not just a martial artist......he was much more......than just a fighter.

  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruce_Lee

I like bruce Lee, I don't think any of todays fighters could get close enough to him to do any damage.

Look at his physical feats in that link.

  2. Ok, so what is you question?

Also ,post the source for all your claims, or you will get flamed.

  3. What do you mean he wasn't a Kung Fu fighter?  Where did you get your info?  I can guarantee you that it wasn't from any reliable source.  It is widely know that he was very into the Wing Chun style of Kung Fu.  In fact, he used it as the base for the style he developed, Jeet Kune Do.  Next time, do your homework before you post something like this.

  4. Bruce Lee was a fighter a great martial artist just watch documenteries of live fottage of him doing 2 fingered pushups on one hand and breaking boards 6 inches thick Bruce Lee could do all these things and Bruce Laa was in many world karate championchips and won all his events Bruce Lee is a fighter the worlds greatest he was a master he could sidekick a 135k kickbag and make it swing up and hit the roof he wasnt able to buy punchbage under 65k because he would break to easily and in his movies they had to slow the footage down because the camera would brul form his fast movements thats funny because normally MA movies are speaded up and to all you people who believe this isnt real you go in the ring with him. thats all.

  5. bruce lee did a lot to popularize gung fu, however, the best are not widely known, because they never sought fame. it is one thing to punch and kick things, it is another to stand still for an hour or two a day. look at the founders of aikido, judo, bagua, moo duk kwan, karate, etc.... or yip man (?) , bruce lee's wing tsun teacher; do you think bruce lee thought he was better than his teacher. i highly doubt it. he was more than a fighter, however, that does not make him the best. every true martial artist is more than a fighter. being more than a fighter does not make one the best.

    peace

ps mike tyson, at 19 years old, probably was the baddest man on the planet. everything came from his hips, and he had never used weights in his life. look up chiba-sensei too, that guy is off the charts. bruce lee would probably have been truly great had he lived, but when he died, he was not that goo. watch his movie fights in slow-motion, his balance is off. watch jet li in slow motion, he has his center always.

  6. What a ridiculous post that is allegedly based on scholarly research?  Clearly your research is flawed and gaping with holes.

I've studied with 2 Sifu's that personally trained and even went to High School with Bruce Lee.  While opinions are opinions, their perspectives are certainly more valid and realistic then derivatives you may have gathered through reading periodicals.

I think the mere fact that there are only 2 (well now 3 including mine) comments on your question speaks volumes in and of itself.

Frank the Tank is one of the most regarded people out here and IMO, if your question rattled him enough to comment then that's enough in my book to comment as well.
