Question:

Bruise-like spots on the back of my heels after tanning?

I have a purplish-red round spot on the back of both of my heels. They are the size of a quarter. I have noticed they are in the exact spot that my feet rest while I lay in the tanning bed. These spots don't hurt at all, but they look bad and I am wondering if anyone else gets these and if you know how to prevent or get rid of them. They make my feet look all beat up! Thanks for your help!

  1. It's probably from the pressure of laying in one hard spot for a period of time without moving.  Try turning so you're not resting on your heels, or maybe put a cotton pad or something else soft under your heels so the surface isn't so hard.

  2. I've never gotten them like that before, only the backs of my ankles get oddly tanned but try using a stand up bed, that should eliminate the problem.
