Brumbies make four changes for game against Lions – Super Rugby update
Tony Rea, the Brumbies coach has made four significant changes in his squad, as Brumbies will be taking on the Lions this Saturday. Brumbies will be hosting the show, as they also look forward to bring back their winning mode against Lions, who have had
a very rough season so far.
Brumbies are back to their Canberra Stadium after an unsuccessful week and one more loss in Super Rugby would set the worst ever record for them in any season. Tony Rea has made sure that he takes this opportunity to avoid any such record in history books.
He brought Ben Hand, the lock in the starting line-up, which means Mark Chisholm, the Wallaby will be sent off to the benches. Meanwhile Patrick Phibbs will also be replaced by Josh Valentine. Valentine is making a comeback as a halfback in the starting
line-up.
Francis Fainifo has been dropped from squad on Saturday, as Henry Speight, the winger makes a comeback after recovering from injury. Palmer will be taking Fainifo’s spot on the bench. On the other hand, Dan Palmer, the prop has been named in the squad, although
he might not be able to show up on Saturday. Palmer is still recovering from his foot injury and if the recovery isn’t complete hundred percent then he might be dropped off. In this case, Rea has opted for Jono Owen to start for Brumbies for the second time
in his Super Rugby career.
Brumbies have played ten matches so far and have won just two a drawn none. They currently stand at twelfth position with just 22 points on table. Lions on the other hand have played eleven matches and won just one, while it takes the bottom position of
the Super Rugby table with only 14 points in hand.
