Bruno Jourdren, Nicolas Vimont-Vicary, Eric Flaguel retain overall lead of Sonar fleet
At the end of third day proceedings on the Medemblik waters, French Sonar team comprising of Bruno Jourdren, Nicolas Vimont-Vicary and Eric Flaguel were able to hit the leading spot of the Sonar fleet standings with 17 points.
The fourth day of the 2012 Delta Lloyd Regatta was no different than the third as the French team retained their leading podium spot with a second finish in the only race of the day. The French team must now be looking to make it on top until they finish
the regatta.
However, there were some shifts witnessed down in the standing positions because the Dutch team cruised up in the standings in Number two position after they put up some excellent sailing display on the racing area. They hit a bullet to claim the second
position.
The former World Championship winner Dutch team comprising of Udo Hessels, Mischa Rossen and Marcel van de Veen is now aiming to hit the gold medal spot in the upcoming Paralympic competition in London.
On third podium place finished the Australian Sonar team of Colin Harrison, Stephen Churm and Johnathan Harris despite the fact that they finished on eighth position in the fourth day race. Nevertheless, this race was discarded from the overall scores.
