The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfB-Stuttgart-c40879 manager has showered praise on the striker who scored a match winning brace against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.
Stuttgart won the game against Hoffenheim at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena with a 2-1 margin. Ibisevic scored both the goals against his former club as Die Roten secured all three points to strengthen chances of a fifth place finish at
the end of the season.
Ibisevic moved to Stuttgart in this year’s January transfer window for an undisclosed fee and has since blossomed at his new side. He has thus far scored four times in eight league appearances and has become an important member
of the team.
Labbadia hailed Ibisevic after the striker’s stunning brace against his former club and admitted that the striker has had a brilliant impact on the side since his transfer in January. He insisted that the player has settled in
perfectly and is confident that the player will continue to score goals in the remaining course of the season.
However, the tactician believes that his side could have been sharper in the game and admitted that the margin of win could have been bigger if the players had taken their chances.
“I'm glad Vedad (Ibisevic) enjoyed such a successful return. He settled in fantastically well during the winter break. But we know we still have to get a bit sharper when it comes to finishing off counter-attacks. If we'd been
able to go 3-0 up when we had the chance, it would have been a great performance,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 manager Markus Babbel expressed his disappointment on the loss and stated that his side played poorly in the first-half. He added that the team’s display after the interval was praiseworthy but
overall it was below par.
“We were altogether more threatening after the interval and carved out a good few scoring opportunities. VfB were more efficient. I didn't like that one bit,” he concluded.
VfB Stuttgart will next take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FC-Nuremberg-c38162 at the Mercedes-Benz-Arena on Sunday, March 25. They will be looking to close the gap on fifth placed Bayer Leverkusen, who will face Schalke in their next game.
