However, the Dutch top flight has also produced many defensive talents such as Ruud Krol, Ronald Koeman, Frank Rijkaard, Jaap Stam and now http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bruno-c8098 Martin Indi, seems to be the perfect star in the making.
The 20-year-old, who was born in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753. He grew up in Rotterdam, and gained the Dutch citizenship.
The versatile defender, who can ply his trade at both left-back and centre-back positions, came through the ranks of the Rotterdammers’ youth academy, and started his professional career at De Kuip Stadion in the 2010/11 season.
His rapid development coupled with his consistent performances leapfrogged him into one of the key players in the heart of the Rotterdammers’ back-line.
After watching his solid showings at the back for the past couple of seasons for the Rotterdam giants, it comes as no surprise that Martins Indi, who has already shown a lot of potential, has already managed to represent Netherlands in six games at such
a tender age.
The 20-year-old, who is merely 1.83m, rarely loses aerial battles, and his perfectly timed tackles makes him one of the most dangerous defender in the highest echelons of Dutch football for every attacker. In addition, the youngster has an extremely cool
head and has never shown any sign of worries while having possession.
Nonetheless, the gifted stopper still has a long way to go before emulating the class of Koeman or Stam. The promising youngster needs to work on his positioning, while his tackles can sometimes be ruthless.
Martins Indi, who has thus far represented Feyenoord in over 50 games in all competitions, has an ongoing contract at De Kuip Stadion that runs until the summer of 2016.
Reports suggest that several elite European clubs including the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 are keeping tabs on the highly talented defender, and would be tabling a bid to lure him away from De Kuip Stadion before the start
of the 2013/14 campaign.
However, pundits suggest that the 20-year-old must continue playing in the highest echelons of Dutch football for at least another couple of seasons and enjoy regular playing time before moving abroad, as a move away from De Kuip Stadion at this point of
his career will only ruin his career.
Nevertheless, Martins Indi has already shown that a glorious career awaits him if he continues making developments to his game, and will certainly become another classy defender coming from the Dutch football.
