Bruno Senna aiming to score points in 2011 Singapore Grand Prix for Renault – Formula 1 news
Lotus-Renault driver Bruno Senna is aiming to score points in the 2011 Singapore Grand Prix for his team following his strong results in the Italian race weekend.
Senna said that he is looking forward to score more points for Renault in the last six rounds of the 2011 Formula 1 season and wants to secure the best possible result for his team at the end of the season as well.
The team driver added that he still needs to have technical knowledge about the R31 car. In addition, he stated that he is certainly not 100 percent perfect on the grid yet despite his positive results in the 2011 Monza race.
The Brazilian took part in a race for Renault for the second time in the ongoing season at the Italian Grand Prix, where he successfully managed a ninth position for his team.
Talking to reporters, Senna said, “Everyone started this season talking about tyres, tyres and tyres but, as with most things, the more practice you can get the easier it becomes. Getting the most out of the Pirelli tyres is not easy; it's a big learning
curve, but it's apparent there is plenty of potential to come, so I hope to piece it all together in the next few races.”
He added, “Physically, it's also difficult because it is very humid and the track requires you to be precise corner after corner. Driving at night, you notice the combination of light and shadow which takes some getting used to.”
The Enstone-based outfit driver further added that he is feeling more comfortable with his car and the team after the Monza race.
The 27-year-old driver talked about the upcoming round of the season and mentioned that Singapore will be a real test for him and he hopes he can secure points for the team over there.
Senna is looking forward to a fun and different type of race weekend in Singapore after getting positive results in the Italian Grand Prix.
The 14th race of the ongoing season will take place on September 25, 2011 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Let’s see how Senna manages his third race of the season for Renault next weekend.
