Bruno Senna believes that Hungaroring Grand Prix will be a turning point for him – Formula 1 news
Bruno Senna of team Williams believes that Hungaroring Grand Prix will prove to be a turning point for him.
He was able to finish holding 7th place in the race. It was the first time when managed to finish in the top ten in his career for team Williams.
Senna said that he believes that this is the turning point for him from where his luck will start changing and he will be able to perform well in the following grands prix as well. He believes that his performance will not be confined to the Hungaroring
GP only. He added that last weekend was good and Grand Prix was enjoyable.
Besides he said that the summer break is also welcomed as it will provide a chance to rest, and to start the latter half of the season fresh minded.
He said, “I think this is a turning point for us. The race was good, it was a fun weekend, the team are happy and the break is now welcome as it will be a chance to rest before we continue to push in the second part of the season.”
Mark Gillan, chief operations engineer of Williams has admired the performance of the Brazilian driver in Hungaroring GP and said that the tyres were sensitive and the track temperature was also high but still he kept his performance consistent.
Gillan added that during the last weekend they have been able to develop better understanding within the team, which will be helpful in the latter half of the season as well. He believes that the Brazilian driver will be able to show consistent performances
in the remaining half of the season.
Gillan said, “The track temperature was very high, but all the way through the weekend, right through getting in the car he's been on the pace. As a team our understanding has moved on this weekend as well, so there should be no reason why it can't transfer.”
Let’s see how he fares in the remainder of the ongoing 2012 Formula 1 season.
