Bruno Senna contented with his car’s setup after 2012 Hungarian GP – Formula 1 news
Williams’ driver Bruno Senna has said that he is feeling very much contented with his altered car setup after 2012 Hungarian Grand Prix.
Senna performed reasonably well in the Hungarian GP as he secured 7th place finish after setting off from ninth grid slot. Moreover, he seemed quite comfortable behind the wheel of his car throughout the weekend in Budapest.
Furthermore, despite running his car with a modified setup, he managed to attain competitive results during the preceding race. Later, he expressed that they made the preparations for the cool weather conditions at Hungaroring and asserted that they gained the essential advantage during the start of the race.
“I think it was good,” he said. “I don't think we had much more in car and we set it up for cooler track temperatures. At a certain point clouds came over and car picked up a lot of speed but when the sun came back out we were sliding around again.”
Even though, he said that they faced a little issue with the setup, nevertheless, they successfully made the most out of it and gained some crucial points in the championship fight.
“We were a bit on the limit with our car setup, but it worked out fine for me. I can't complain about gaining two positions at Hungaroring, it's a difficult track to overtake at and I kept my nose clean in the first lap and scored the points,” he said.
Currently, he is at 15th position in the drivers’ standings with 24 points. Additionally, he is ahead of Nico Hulkenberg of Force India and is behind Felipe Massa of Ferrari. Besides, he is now just five points behind his teammate, Pastor Maldonado who is at 11th place in the drivers’ championship.
In addition, the Brazilian driver said that he is eagerly looking forward to the summer break. He also said that he will keep his focus on the sport so as to secure a competitive position in this year’s championship.
Above and beyond, he said that they are focussing to continue their developmental process throughout the season ahead to come up stronger in the forthcoming races.
