Bruno Senna feels confident about 2012 German Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Williams’ driver Bruno Senna has said that he is confidently looking forward to perform well in 2012 German Grand Prix which is to be held at Hockenheimring on July 22.
Senna could only score one point in the British GP at Silverstone Circuit after setting off from 13th grid position. Nonetheless, he asserted that he is not upset over his uncompetitive performance in the last race and is aiming to score some
reasonable points in Hockenheim.
Moreover, he said that they have got the potential to achieve good results in the upcoming race with their competent car. In addition, he said that the track of the approaching race will be quite challenging for all the contenders. Nevertheless, he said
that they have been trying to make the essential advancements to attain good result and will hopefully come up strong in the race ahead. He also said that he is very excited for the next race.
“We haven't been to Hockenheim since 2010 and I'm looking forward to driving there with a car that is capable of getting a good result,” Senna said. “The circuit layout has a mixture of high speed and low speed sections so car set-up can be challenging,
but our car is improving all the time and has been more competitive than recent results show. The weather is also looking quite variable so that should throw up some extra challenges. The fans create a good atmosphere at the German Grand Prix as well so it
should be an exciting weekend.”
Presently, the Brazilian driver is standing at 15th position in the drivers’ rankings with 18 points. Furthermore, he is 3 points behind Kamui Kobayashi of Sauber and just 1 point ahead of Nico Hulkenberg of Force India.
It will be important that his best performance in the season until now is his 6th place finish which he secured in the second race at Sepang International Circuit in Sakhir. Additionally, he came 7th in the third race after taking a
start from 14th grid slot.
Above and beyond, although he has only scored 4 points in the last five races, however, he is focussing to improve his pace in the season ahead.
