Bruno Senna looking forward to 2011 Singapore GP after finishing Italian GP in points – Formula 1
Lotus-Renault driver Bruno Senna is looking forward to the upcoming 2011 Singapore Grand Prix weekend after finishing his Italian Grand Prix in the points recently.
Senna said that he is aiming to do more for the team in the next race weekends of the 2011 Formula 1 season following his ninth position at the Monza racetrack last weekend.
The Brazilian took part in race for the second time in the ongoing season at Monza, where he successfully scored two points for Renault. After getting positive results from the Italian race weekend, Senna mentioned that he wants to get more in the rest of
the 2011 campaign.
Senna commented, “For me it's great to be getting competitive again and getting the surname back up there in the top ten. But I know at the same time that there is so much more to come from more experience and more miles in the car. I think my brain is probably
boiling a little bit with information at the moment.”
He went on to mention, “But so far, together with the team, we've made good strides in understanding the car and going in the right direction with my driving style. It was a race without incidents for me and we can have a good strong base to build up from
for the next few races.”
After the Italian race weekend, the 27-year-old driver added that he is happy to race in a competitive R31 car during the race. He started his Monza race from the 10th place on the opening grid and after struggling on the sets of
medium and soft tyres, he ended up behind Paul di Resta of Force India, who finished his Grand Prix at the eighth place.
On the other hand, the Enstone-based outfit boss Eric Boullier stated they are expecting more from Senna in the upcoming race weekends of the ongoing season following his ninth position in the Italian GP. In addition, he mentioned that Renault want Senna
to challenge his teammate Vitaly Petrov in the championship battle.
Let’s see how Senna manages the last six races of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
