Bruno Senna looks forward to perform well in 2012 Indian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Williams’ driver Bruno Senna has said that he is eying to perform well in the 2012 Indian Grand Prix which is to be held this weekend at one of the most challenging tracks of the calendar, Buddh International Circuit.
Senna has not been able to attain promising results for his team in the season until now and has been seen struggling with his car in most of the grands prix. Nevertheless, he has asserted that he is not disappointed over his uncompetitive performances and
is earnestly looking forward to deliver his best in the remaining four races of the season.
Furthermore, he said that he is keenly waiting for this weekend’s race. He also said that he really enjoyed his visit to India which is a unique country, during the last year.
“I'm looking forward to this weekend because India has a different atmosphere to many other Grands Prix and it's always a unique place to visit,” Senna said.
In addition, he said that the track of the approaching race is very fast and will definitely give a tough time to all the drivers because of its quick corners.
Besides, he said that they are presently trying their best to come up stronger with the necessary step-ups in their car so as to score competitive points in the Indian GP.
“As a new track the surface is very smooth and the layout is fast and flows well with some high speed corners which will suit our car. We should therefore be looking to improve on our performance,” he added.
It will be interesting to note that the Grove based team has not decided their next year’s driver-up and the executive director, Toto Wolff has said that they are evaluating options for it. Additionally, he said that they may replace Senna or his teammate,
Pastor Maldonado with their test driver, Valtteri Bottas in the coming year.
Therefore, the Brazilian driver has said that it is extremely important for him to score good points in the remainder of the season in order to secure his race seat in the British squad for the next year.
