Bruno Senna says he is very excited about 2011 Brazilian Grand Prix – Formula 1 news
Renault driver Bruno Senna has said that he is very excited about the 2011 Brazilian Grand Prix, because he will race in his homeland.
The last round of the 2011 Formula 1 season is scheduled to take place on November 27 at Sao Paulo.
Senna added that he is sure Brazil will be another difficult race for the team because of the type of circuit they are facing from the last couple of races of the season.
The Brazilian driver talked about the racetrack of the upcoming Grand Prix and mentioned that Sao Paulo is a classic racetrack and that Brazil is his home race which will make it more special for him, but there are also some long, slow turns in the mid-section
of the circuit.
The Enstone-based outfit driver further added that Brazil race is the last round of the ongoing season, so they will have to prepare well to give themselves the best chance of success there.
Talking to reporters, Senna commented, “That will be the lingering thought for many as we enter 2012, so we want to end the season on a positive note.”
Apart from that, the team driver discussed his performance on the grid from the 2011 Belgian Grand Prix. He continued that he has learnt many things during his races in his R31 car.
The 28-year-old driver went on to mention, “I've been learning, I've been improving and working with the engineers to get the most out of the car. Other teams have taken strides forward that we have not, and we have paid for that in terms of results. This
is all part of the learning curve I've been on, and I'm sure we can use what we have learnt to take ourselves forward.”
Senna is aiming to end the 2011 Formula 1 season on a high note at the Brazilian racetrack this weekend.
After taking part in seven rounds of the season for Renault, Senna is placed at the 18th position with 2 points in the 2011 drivers’ standings.
In the 2011 Abu Dhabi race weekend, he failed to end the Grand Prix in points. He ended up in the 16th spot for Renault.
Let’s see how he performs at the Sao Paulo circuit this weekend.
