Brushing my hamster?

Do I brush my long haired hamster? how often and what kind of brush? Also do I have to brush my short haired?

Hamsters are very clean animals and will groom them selves. They should not need to brushed, the do not shed like dogs. If you want to brush them, you can brush them whenever it looks like they need it. Don't brush them to often, it will hurt their skin. Aswell, brush them VERY LIGHTLY.

yes you can brush your hamster if its long haired or short haired and if you have like a little brissle brush then you can brush him/her with it. it doesnt matter what kind of brush you use really...

I've never heard of anyone brushing a hamster.  I would think that they kind of groom themselves.... but then I've never owned one, so I can't say that's fact.  :)

you should brush your long haired and probably everyday since it runs around alot and gets messy and brush it with a small brush and don't brush your short haired.

sure, brush your hamster!  you dont have to brush the short haired one.  but careful the brush isn't too big.  those things are fragile

you can brush them whenever you see bedding and other things stuck in their fur.  use a soft bristle toothe brush and you don't need to brush a short hair.

U can brush the long haired hamsters if u want but it's not necessary. If u do choose to brush ur long haired hamster I heard u can use a tooth brush as a brush.
