Absolutely! This method of brushing with baking soda has been around since the 50's and does in fact make teeth whiter. The taste is horrible but the after math is completely worth it.

Yes. Use baking soda + hydrogen peroxide.  If you use it every day, though, it will make your teeth white, but will make your gums tender; but it works better than whitening toothpaste.
