  1. you will be fine and there are lots of trains also they all speak English there and there is no problem have a great time

  2. Good news, the train that leaves at Brussels Central at 6.59 goes to Brussels North and then to Schaarbeek. Should you have departed from the Central Station, then you would have had to take this train. But since you arrive at the North Station in the morning, you don't have to go to Brussels Central at all!

The train you will have to get on in Bruxelles Nord is the ICE11, leaving at 7.07 and arriving in Frankfurt Main at 10.30.

    Bon voyage!

P.S. I live in Brussels, that makes it a lot easier to understand those time tables... :-)

  3. don't worry - travelling time by train between brussels north & brussels central is only 3 minutes or so. even at 6 in the morning, there are several trains between these stations.

even better: you'd better check if your train to germany doesn't have a stop in brussels north - that will avoid you changing stations.

    check on http://www.b-rail.be/int/E/

  4. Brussels has an underground railroad system with various stations. The line which interests you is   from South to North: Brussels South, Brussels Central (serving the administrative center) and Brussels North. If you arrive at B. North and are traveling to Germany it makes no sense to GO back to B. Central. All trains going to Germany (Aachen, Köln) stop at Brussels North.

Check timetables  at the english version of nmbs.be

  5. They have given you wrong information.

There is no train at 6.59 a.m. to depart from Brussel Centraal to Germany.

The train departing at 6.59 a.m. is IC 1905 from Mouscron to Schaarbeck, which arrives at 7.02 a.m. at Brussel Noord.

From Brussel-Noord ICE11 departs at 7.07 a.m. for Germany. So it is a good layover at Brussel Noord for having your breakfast.

Edit: After another contributor has almost repeated my answer 4 hours later, I just want to add, that your train (ICE 11) is starting at 6.59 a.m. at Brussels South Station (Brussel Zuid/Bruxelles Midi). So you may go to the South Station, instead of having breakfast, in order to catch a better seat, if you should not have reserved. Every train departing North Station in southwards direction will stop at the South Station. Trains are departing every 2 to 5 minutes and take 7 minutes travel time.

Trainstops for ICE 11 in Germany are: Aachen, Cologne, Frankfurt Airport, and Frankfurt Central Station
