Brussels+Bruges OR Vienna+Salzburg?

Hello all, I am planning a family trip in europe, but due to limited time of stay, i have to pick either Belgium or Austria for part of the trip. I am also going to paris and rome and florence and venice and nice/monaco (the usual -_-). It's with my parents and they just want to see europe for the first time, no preferences, and no particular interest in music or arts or whatever.

which one would you choose? supporting reasons would be appreciated!

True, they are all gorgeous, but to my mind, if it is a part of your trip between Paris and Rome how can you miss Vienna? It’s like missing a diamond, which Vienna for sure is!

As for me, such a romantic place as Bruges falls a bit out of your route from one bright capital to another… maybe another time?

I’d like to be in Bruges one day too :)
