Bryan McCabe Trade Questions (Read On)?

1) With McCabe gone who is the new scapegoat for Leafs fans?

2) How do you think Van Ryan will do in Toronto

3) Who wins in this deal

Statistically speaking McCabe will probably put up a ton of power play points. Van Ryn has two bad wrists so he is a gamble but all the Leafs need is for him to be responsible in his own end.

Toronto wins only because they cleared almost 6 million in cap space.

I would expect they will save that for next year and go with youth then hope for a lottery pick (Tavares).

New scapegoat - Jason Blake unless he at least doubles his 15 goals. I can't believe they dumped Tucker and kept this guy.

1) My bet is on Antropov.  He sucks big time.  Though, personally, I blame MLSE.  The suits are the problem!!!

2) As long as he doesn't shoot the puck right into his net, I'll like him.  I don't think he's going to make a huge impact, though it doesn't look like anyone on this year's team will.

3) McCabe needed out of Toronto to try to resurrect his career.  Florida adds a one time superstar to a loaded defence.  Toronto needed to unload McCabe's salary badly.  I'd say Florida has the slight edge, because McCabe will probably do well there, and the Leafs should've gotten a draft pick out of this.

1)The New Scapegoat i beleive will be Jason Blake, expected by many Leafs fans to put up 40 goals...hes also making alot of money he shouldnt be.

2)Van Ryn will do good but i dont think he will here for 1 or 2 seasons, but doubt he becomes a huge building block.

3)Panthers win this deal, McCabe has hit 19 goals already and pretty good season until last year, hes a upgrade over Van Ryn...and they got a 4rth on top of it.
