Bryan McCabe to Florida for Mike Van Ryan?

Is that true? I heard it was on my local radio station but NHL.com has nothing about it.

McCabe's Contract calls for a $2MM signing bonus paid on September 1st. Since the NHL doesn't allow for money to be traded, the bonus is paid by whoever owns his rights on that date. The trade will take place on September 1st.

It is unconfirmed. I hope it is true, me as a Toronto fan has felt the pain of McCabe. He is a decent d-man though, and I like Mikey

the deal is done but it will be confirmed on sept 1 because mccabe is going to get 2 million from the leafs for signing bonus or sumtin like dat

Yes this is true, the deal is expected to go through september 1st. (Why the delay, I don't know)
