Bryan Nygaard to leave team Leopard Trek right away – Cycling News
Rumours of Leopard Trek manager Bryan Nygaard joining team Green Edge was in the media already as owner of the team Flavio Becca has announced that Nygaard’s associations with the team Leopard Trek are concluded effective immediately.
News came out after the Leopard Trek made the announcement of merging with RadioShack for the coming season as Flavio Becca made it official with his statement, “The name Leopard will be kept. The company will continue to be based in Luxembourg and will
operate from Luxembourg.”
Nygaard has not made an official announcement about his future team and his inclusion in the team Green Edge is still not as clear but it is expected that now as he is free from the team Leopard Trek the announcement might be made shortly.
Leopard Trek is still a young team as it was founded in 2011 and Becca was the main man behind the scenes who has made his fortune through real estate as he decided to choose Nygaard to manage Team Leopard.
Nygaard mentioned that his first introduction with Becca was in May 2010 when Kim Anderson introduced the two as Nygaard was offered the position to manage the team to which he agreed. Brian Nygaard has worked hard in developing the team Leopard Trek and
his efforts have paid off as the team has dominated in many events under his strong management.
Brian Nygaard is amongst the pioneers who have helped develop and run the team as he has thanked everyone in the team for their support during his tenure as he said, “I’m proud to have been part of building up a new team in cycling and I’m happy for the
experience it has given me. I wish the project best of luck going onwards. Personally, I would like to thank the riders and the staff for giving their best to this team.”
Brian’s hard work along with the presence of some of the great riders in the team Leopard Trek has made it one of the most prominent and fast emerging team of the year. His reputation amongst the cycling world has earned him huge respect and he will not
have to wait for any offers from his future team.
