Bryan brothers record of sixty two career titles

About eleven years and four months ago, the Bryan brothers were thrashed out by Todd Woodbridge and Jim Courier in their very first ATP World Tour doubles final clash. Just about two years later, Bob Bryan along with Mike Bryan grabbed their first ATP trophy, after knocking down Jonathan Stark and Alex O'Brien in the final of Memphis. The score was 6-3, 7-6 (3).
In a more recent performance on Sunday, the pair together contested in their hundredth career final battle in the city of Los Angeles at the Farmers Classic tennis tournament. They, together, defeated Jean Julien Rojer and Eric Butorac in a total of three sets with a final match score of 6-7 (6), 6-2, 10-7.
They won their sixty second career doubles trophy as a result of final victory in L.A. While commenting on their victory after the match, the Bryan brothers in a telephonic interview with ESPN said,
"I kept on serving on match point," Bob commented
"And I tried my best to keep the volley away”, Mike said.
They won the trophy in their hometown competition on the sixth occasion. There were more than twenty family brothers apart from their friends who watched the final battle in L.A.
"These are the ones who have always supported us through every thick and thin”, Mike commented.  "It felt like praising them for whatever they have done”.
While commenting on the UCLA court, the Bryan brothers said that they have played a number of matches on this surface so it is also really close to their heart.
The question is that, are the Bryan brothers the best team in the history of the game of tennis? In this view, let us analyse the pair of Pam Shriver and Martina Navratilova who together have won a total of twenty one major titles.
The Bryan brothers, on the other hand, have won a total of eight major trophies, including this season’s hard court Australian Open title as well as a bronze medal in Beijing back in 2008. However, the difference lies in the fact that the Bryan brothers are still contesting and as predicted by their recent performances, they will be a tough team for seasons to come.
"That is what Woodforde also said”, Bob commented. "He said, “our team deserve this and suggested us to keep up the good work and keep on performing at our very best’.
"This is the beauty of the game”, Woodforde commented. ‘ I am pretty sure that they will went on to win twenty to thirty more championships and as long as they remain fit, they will grab many more trophies”, he added.
"It's not about your opponent on the court, in fact it is more about your own form and fitness. As long as they can keep their fitness maintained, they will continue their winning momentum in the similar manner”.
Mike Bryan while commenting on his last five year’s performances said that, “We have played pretty well over the last five seasons beyond any measure of speculations”.
"Winning a record sixty two titles was definitely in our top ambitions however there is still a lot to do as Woodies have grabbed a total of eleven major trophies and we have to set our eyes to the major ones in future”, he added.
In reality, the average age of doubles contesters lingers around thirty seven and they view that they will like to contest for another four to five seasons. In spite of the fact that they may not be able to grab eleven trophies per season, as they grabbed three years ago, they have averaged a total of six per year for the last three seasons, which implies that by the time they announce their retirement, the record will definitely be tough for any pair to acquire.
