Bryce Harper may have Major League debut late April as he shows improvements in Minor League - MLB
Washington Nationals' top prospect for the season, Bryce Harper, is working his way in the Minor League to make an early entry to the Major Leagues. As young as 19-years-old with exceptional talent, Harper will make the greatest headline by the time he plays
his first Major League game.
As he entered Spring Training under hopes of becoming a game changer for the Nationals this year, a calf injury ruined his dream. He was then sent to play at Triple-A.
"I just think if I get up there this year or next year or whenever I make it, I just want to stick there," Harper said. "I want to be a game-changer and make sure we win, and I can help this ballclub win."
Nationals are beautifully poised to possibly win the Division Championship, given the fact that they possess one of the most powerful arms with enigmatic pitching repertoires. Another factor going their way is the relatively mediocre season preparations
by other teams in the Division. Braves are battling with their pitching woes and Mets are confronting a financial crisis, with Phillies going through a fairly forgettable Spring Training.
Amid all this, if the Nationals can exploit the other team’s weaknesses during the season, they will set themselves perfect for some post-season play. While they have great pitchers, inclusion of Harper even if that comes late in April and nothing is yet
official, will strengthen the Nationals’ offense in many ways.
Along with Jayson Werth and Ian Desmond, Harper will make Nationals a side to reckon with even for a possible World Championship run.
Underlying issue is whether Harper will be as effective in the Major League as he had been so far. While looking at penchant management has shown to have him there early, one can understand what Nationals have seen in him and what they are looking forward
to from him in the season.
Among endless excitement, the fans are bracing for the regular season and waiting for Harper to come on to the scene. What inspires fans the most will be his style and flamboyance. To what extent this will benefit the Nationals during the season will be
interesting to watch.
