  1. From corn, it's close to a breakeven deal.  The analysis is complex and depends on how many things you include.  Fuel for delivery of fertilizer for the corn?  Credit for use of process byproducts?  Which is why people give different answers.

    The real win will come when we make ethanol from low value and hardy crops like switch grass.
