Bubba Watson all set to appear in CBS, CNN, Golf Channel, and CNBC after his meteoric rise to stardom
The latest Masters champion Bubba Watson is under the radar for the moment and is being stalked as the most precious commodity by the paparazzi and media.
He is on schedule of whirlwind appearances on various TV Channels and Radio shows and is now heading to New York for the same.
Weary of all the stardom and fame, Watson is eager to meet his newly adopted son, a six-week-old-boy Caleb back in Bagdad, Florida.
Watson said, “My wife gave me a day and a half off so I figured I’d have a little fun and fly to New York”.
Watson made a surprise appearance at Golf Channel’s “Morning Drive” on Tuesday and discussed many of his recent engagements including the General Lee, his newly bought old American muscle which he intends to drive wearing his green jacket.
Watson said that the “Redneck Charger” is still in the workshop and is being altered to make it legal for the road.
Watson also revealed that his hectic week ahead will include an appearance at CBS’s “Late Show with David Letterman,” CNBC’s “Street Signs” and CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight”.
Watson, who is known for his reckless diatribes on any of his disliking, had spoken of the gender discrimination at the Augusta National last year.
On a question of whether Watson cares that Augusta National does not extend membership to women, Watson replied, “Yeah, I care, and you can quote me on it”.
Being the latest Masters champion, Watson’s comments last year have managed to creep into mainstream media yet again, as Chairman Billy Payne is now under intense pressure to alter the membership rules at Augusta National.
Earlier, Payne had said that the membership issue is club’s private matter and cannot be discussed in public.
Watson also talked about his departure from the Augusta National Clubhouse after his victory and revealed that compatriot Rickie Fowler actually helped him pack before his flight.
Watson said, “First, it’s funny that Rickie was helping me pack. It’s just funny.”
Fowler, Jim Furyk, Watson and Hunter Mahan are close friends and are also part of the PGA Tour’s only boy band, “The Golf Boys” and have already released their video of the song “Oh Oh Oh” on YouTube.
