Bubbly Africa upsets Point To Prove in Wednesday’s 400m Grade A1 heat at Romford
Lots of drama was produced in the Grade A1 event, but the victory eventually went to Bubbly Africa, trained by P. W. Young. The black b***h upset the race favourite, Point To Prove, securing the first position in the 400 metre long Grade A1 Heat at
Romford on February 8, 2012.
Elite State’s daughter, out of Africa stepped out on the track with the winning possibility of 7 to 2. She picked up an early pace, but was challenged in the middle of the track.
The things were slipping out of her hands, when the black b***h enhanced her speed to take a decisive lead. After her discharge from the third stall, the b***h took 24.48 seconds to arrive at the winning post. Her brilliant performance earned her connections
a cash price of £135.
Point To Prove could only grab the runner-up place, reaching the post 1 ¼ lengths after the triumphant b***h. The blue b***h was sent as the 7 to 4 favourite, but she couldn’t live up to her reputation.
J. W. Reynolds’ trainee regained her pace by making the best use of the rails, clocking the distance in 24.58 seconds. She was lucky to earn some respect, as Highview Dilemma ended up just a short head’s distance adrift of her.
Highview Dilemma, Crash’s son, out of Highview Desire, nabbed third place by making it to the finishing line in 24.59 seconds. The black dog was sent at 3 to 1, breaking in from the first stall.
Despite being bumped at the first bend, he ran on to take a decent position on the table. After being crowded on the track, it was a good effort by E. A. Gaskin’s trainee.
The fourth place was seized by Global Bandit, sent at 9 to 2, whereas the final two positions went to Boofle, and Deanridge Fierce, respectively. The duo was sent with the 6 to 1 odds, each.
Big Daddy Cool’s son, out of Mandeville Black completed his run in 24.95 seconds, and Boofle was just 0.01 of a second adrift of him. Deanridge Fierce’s actual running time was 25.00 seconds flat.
After taking sixth position in her last outing, Bubbly Africa improved her run dramatically to ensure this victory.
