Bubbly Bellini expected to win Twilight BBQ Handicap (Div II)
Bubbly Bellini has got a solid chance of winning the Twilight BBQ Handicap (Div II) at Limerick in Ireland on Saturday, June 16, 2012. The winner of the 6 furlong 160 yard race will be awarded a cash prize of €3,850.
The going will be good whereas the race will begin at 19:25 GMT. Following runners will be seen in action: Bubbly Bellini, Ucanchoose, San Jose City, Refuse To Sell, Gatamalata, Greybridge, Sassaway, Wellmarked, Jeangeorges, Under Review, Harrier Reef, Whatyoumaycallit, Diamond Rainbow and Indian Stone.
Although the competition is expected to be a tough one, Bubbly Bellini might have the edge over his rivals in the end. He is carrying a decent momentum at the moment whereas most of his opponents are struggling for form. He has also got a lot of experience, which will encourage the punters to place a lot of bets on him.
The five-year-old gelding has participated in 43 races until now, winning five of them whereas finished third on the same number of times. In addition to that, he has also secured the runner up spot on eight occasions, which shows that he is quite capable of fighting at the front regularly.
Importantly, the Adrian McGuinness’ trainee has been performing well over the past couple of events. He finished third in his previous two outings, which shows the kind of form he is carrying right now.
In his most recent race, Bubbly Bellini delivered a decent show and ended up third. His supporters would have been a touch disappointed, as he was one of the favourites to win that time around.
However, the favourite gelding has the tools to make a strong comeback. He will be partnered by seasoned rider, I. J. Brennan, who has enjoyed a lot of success at this level. However, his strike rate is on the lower side, which will discourage the punters from placing bets on him.
On the other hand, Ucanchoose might also manage to make a strong impression in the race today, as he is a decent performer. He has got the experience and form to match the best in the business, but will need to be at his best in order to take the top spot.
