Bubbly Bellini tipped to win Ballyduane Stud Handicap
Bubbly Bellini is likely to prevail in the Ballyduane Stud Handicap at Limerick in Ireland on Friday, June 22, 2012. A cash prize of €5,865 has been set for the winner of the 6 furlong 160 yard race.
The going will be good to soft in the race, which is scheduled to start at 18:35 GMT. A total of 14 runners had been attracted towards the event and their names are as follows: Bubbly Bellini, Topadee, Landsdowne, Inishmot Duchess, Love Is The Key, Bon Accord,
Matjar, Packsapunch, Gagnant, Nanotech, Almadaa, Khelino, Tsar Paul and Vespertine.
Out of the above mentioned runners Topadee, Bon Accord and Almadaa are doubtful for the race, as the track conditions do not suit their running style.
However, the competition will still be an interesting one, as there are some fierce competitors up against each other. One of them is, Bubbly Bellini, who has got a lot of experience and has been delivering some excellent results over the past few months.
He will definitely attract a lot of bets from the punters today.
The five-year-old gelding has participated in 45 events, winning seven of them and finishing runner up on eight times. In addition to that, he has also secured the third spot on five occasions, which shows that he consistently fights for top positions.
Importantly, the Adrian McGuinness’ trainee has won his past two races, which shows the dominant form he is in at the moment. He will be chasing a hat-trick of victories today, but will have to be at his absolute best in order to do so.
Bubbly Bellini will be partnered by I. J. Brennan, who has won quite a few events at this level, but has a poor strike rate. However, his performances in recent times have been good, which is a positive sign for him.
On the other hand, Landsdowne might also manage to fight at the front, as the track conditions will be suitable for him. His strike rate is not good, as he has only managed to win one race out of 16 attempts. However, he has finished runner up on a couple
of times whereas secured the third spot on five occasions.
