Bubbly Swallow bags the January Maiden Stayers at Henlow
Bubbly Swallow, a black b***h trained by Nick Savva, marvellously notched the January Maiden Stayers Open Race, which was run over a distance of 692m at Henlow.

The brilliant b***h ran against Savana Ben, Killahara Jewel, Crossleigh Tinko, Jazz Luna and Betinboots.
It was an amazing race which started at 10:18pm. Bubbly Swallow was the favourite runner, with a starting price of 2 to 7.
The b***h broke from trap number 6, and right from the outset, showed her aggressive intentions.

Within a blink of an eye, she led her opponents, and once she took the lead, she did not let anyone come close to her, and with each stride, she widened the gap.
The daughter of Westmead Aoifa sustained her pace and stamina throughout, as she covered the distance in 43.83 seconds, with a huge margin of 4 lengths.

It was a tremendous victory indeed.
She ran for the first time over the 692m distance, since the start of her career in October 2011. Overall, it was the third win for Bubbly Swallow.
Nick Savva was jubilant on the triumph of his trainee, who was whelped in February 2010, and he predicted further victories for his ace runner.

The second position in the race went to Savana Ben, who started well, but slowed down in the middle.

The blue dog, however, kept himself away from the back runners and tried hard for at least a placed finish.
The D J Atkins’ trainee bridged the distance in 44.16 seconds, but in the process trailed by 4 lengths.

Whelped in December 2009, the son of Westmead Alec also participated is this category for the first time in his career, which began in April 2011, at the same venue. Overall, he finished second for the 7th time.
Killahara Jewel finished third in his maiden race, after breaking from trap 4. With a smooth pace and clean run, the black dog kept chasing Savana Ben continuously, but failed to out run him.

However, he also struggled successfully to prevent the two back runners from catching up to him.
Finally, D Henry’s trainee managed to reach the finish line in 44.27 seconds, after lagging by 1 ½ lengths. The son of Ballintore Brave was whelped in October 2009.
At the end of the race, each of the four runners other than the winner and Jazz Luna, who was unable to finish, got £20, while Bubbly Swallow grabbed the purse worth £150.
