Aleksandr Bubnov believes that Anzhi Makhachkala’s Eto’o is the best player in the Russian Premier League ahead of Zenit St. Petersburg’s Shirokov
Well known Russian commentator and sports analyst, Aleksandr Bubnov, has singled out Anzhi Makhachkala’s Samuel Eto’o as one of the best players in the Russian Premier League at the moment.
The Cameroonian striker is currently the Makhachkala-based club’s top scorer with 15 goals in all competition including three goals in the UEFA Europa League group stage matches against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Udinese-Calcio-c40789 and Young Boys respectively.
Bubnov insisted that the 30 million Euros signing, whom the mega rich Dagestani club acquired in last January from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Shirokov-c31645.
Shirokov, on the other hand, has notched five goals in all competitions including the equalizer in Zenit’s 3-2 defeat in the UEFA Champions League clash with AC Milan at Petrovsky stadium.
The Russian football analyst, who has been a long time admirer of Shirokov, revealed that the 31-year-old attacking midfielder is getting back to full fitness after missing the last part of the season due to intriguing injuries.
“I think Shirokov has not given his hundred percent. Of course, he had some fantastic matches but he did not play up to his standards. He lacked the technical and tactical approach so far.”

As things stand, the Moscow-based club are at the 9th spot on the league table and are just two points away from the fourth spot.
