Aleksandr Bubnov believes that Terek Grozny avenged their earlier defeat in the Russian Premier League after defeating Alania Vladikavkaz at Akhmad Arena on Saturday
Unai Emery was sacked by Spartak Moscow just four months after his appointment as Spartak’s manager following their 5-1 defeat in the Russian Premier League against Dynamo Moscow at Luzhniki stadium on Sunday.
The Spanish tactician was sacked following a poor run of domestic and European games and most specifically their arch rivals at home.
The 41-year-old coach failed to find consistency in results despite having a decent start to the league campaign this term. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 coach won 14 of his 29 games in all competition
Emery paid the price of winning just one of the club’s last five fixtures, a run that may harm their credentials to secure European berth this season, along with their shocking UEFA Champions League elimination.
The Spartachi have now dropped down to the 7th spot on the league table after their humiliating defeat at Moscow. If speculations are to be believed, Valery Karpin and Roberto Di Matteo have emerged as the early favourites
to replace Emery at Moscow.
Aleksandr Bubnov has lamented Emery’s sacking, insisting that the Russian outfit were too impatient to axe the former Real Sociedad midfielder four months after appointing him Karpin’s successor.
“It looked like Spartak were helplessness on all fronts. This also applies to the team as a whole, and the manager. The Spaniard struggled to dictate a game or play a team he can call his own. I think the instability in the team
cost him his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.”
“Emery was not able to help the team getting out of the defensive crisis. The team conceded too many goals since the start of the campaign but I still think he should have been given more time.” The Soviet Top League winner was
quoted as saying.
Speaking on Terek Grozny’s 1-0 win against Alania, Bubnov revealed that the Chechens avenged their 5-0 defeat against the same opposition at Vladikavkaz stadium back in August.
Bubnov urged the Grozny-based club to work harder if they are to finish the season on a high.
