Buck Magic expected to dominate Leonard Coombe Master Saddlers Handicap Hurdle
Buck Magic has been awarded with the best odds for the Leonard Coombe Master Saddlers Handicap Hurdle at Exeter in England on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. The winner of the class-3 event will walk away with a cash prize of £4,549.
The going will be soft in the 2 mile, 7 furlong and 110 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 18:55 GMT. The stamina of all runners will be tested today, as the distance to cover is quite long.
A total of 15 runners have lined up for action at Exeter and their names are as follows: Buck Magic, Ruben Cotter, Sea Saffron, Railway Rico, Water Garden, Flaming Charlie, Global Power, Pause And Clause, No Principles, Pavillon Bleu, Thedeboftheyear, Heathcliff,
Slippers Percy, The Gossmoor Yank and Deep Pockets.
Although Buck Magic does not have a lot of experience, the bookmakers feel that he will manage to walk away with a comfortable victory today. His record over hurdles is impressive, thus the punters are also expected to place a lot of bets in his favour.
The six-year-old gelding has participated in three races over hurdles until now, winning one of them. In addition to that, he has also secured the third spot once, which means that there was only once occasion, where he failed to make it to the top three.
In his most recent race, the Keiran Burke’s trainee finished fourth, despite being rated as the favourite to win. He lost momentum at the start of the event, thus failed to make up places in the end. However, he is expected to bounce back at Exeter today,
as he has the tools to deliver a winning run.
Buck Magic will be partnered by Nick Scholfield, who has won 79 races over hurdles, but does not have an impressive strike rate. He needs to bring a lot more consistency in his performances in order to attract more bets in the future.
Other than the race favourite, Sea Saffron will also be the one to watch out for in the race at Exeter. He is an experienced campaigner and has taken part in nine hurdles until now. However, he has only managed to win once, which means that things will not
be easy for him today.
