Buck Magic tipped to win Betfair Supporting Greatwood Handicap Hurdle

Buck Magic has been given the best odds for winning the Betfair Supporting Greatwood Handicap Hurdle at Newbury in England on Saturday, March 3, 2012. The class-3 event has a cash prize of £5,848 for the winner.
A total of 14 entries have been confirmed for the 3 mile 110 yard race, scheduled to start at 2:05 GMT. The names of all the runners are: Buck Magic, Tarvini, Benbens, Cinderella Rose, Godsmejudge, Super Villan, Lamboro Lad, Imperial Circus, Theatrical Star,
Love Of Tara, Pavillon Bleu, Always Waining, Blazing Buck and South O´the Border.
Buck Magic is in very good shape at the moment and has been producing decent results in recent times. His last outing at Wincanton proved to be a very good one, as he managed to take the third place.
The six-year-old gelding was not the favourite to win that event, but managed to put up a decent show. He was up against some quality runners and still challenged them until the end of the race.
Keiran Burke’s trained runner has entered a couple of hurdles in his career and seems to like such events. He has earned one victory out of those events whereas the second one was a third place finish.
Barry Geraghty, seasoned jockey, will be partnering Buck Magic in today’s race. He has got plenty of experience and has won 129 races over hurdles. His strike rate is also on the higher side, which will encourage the punters to place more bets on his horse.
The bettors will also be interested in Jonjo O'Neill’s trainee, Tarvini, who has earned two back to back victories over hurdles. He has got the winning momentum and is likely to complete a hat-trick of victories in such events.
The seven-year-old gelding has got plenty of experience over hurdles, as he has participated in 27 of them. However, he does not have a very good strike rate, winning six out of the total 27 events.
Despite that, the bookmakers have shown faith in Tarvini, who will be ridden by young jockey, Maurice Linehan.
Other than the top two favourites, Benbens will also be the one to watch out for. He has been in good form recently and can pull off a surprise today.
The main fight will be between the top two favourites, who are in very good shape at the moment. It will be a big surprise, if both of them do not end up in the top three.
