The Grade OR Williamhill.com Derby Trial Stakes Div B will take place at Wimbledon today, 7th April. The race will cover a distance of 480 metres, carrying a purse worth £150.
The line-up for the race is:
Bucks Blade,
Droopys Lorenzo,
Dream Walker,
Rio Torino,
Murlens Houdini, and
Guinness Kev.
The punters will particularly look forward to Bucks Blade’s performance as he will race as a favourite with odds of 5 to 4.
The son of Droopys Scolari, out of Mottos Dawn, is expected to excel as he has already bagged a hat-trick this season.
He triumphed over Skywalker Louie, the evening’s favourite in the Grade OR Owlerton Bookmakers 480 Duplicated at Sheffield on 6th March, 2012.
He took the lead to finish 2 ½ lengths ahead of the runner-up in 27.96 seconds.
In the following race, the hound succeeded over Yahoo Jamie by 4 lengths on 10th March, 2012, in a race that covered 480 metres at Perry Barr, finishing in 28.25 seconds.
The victory that completed the hat-trick for the Charlie Lister trained hound came on 21st March, 2012.
He raced as a favourite with odds of 4 to 6, bolting through the track impressively.
He finished the 480 metre race in 28.39 seconds, 1 ¾ lengths ahead of Westmead Melanie.
Considering the fact that his performance has been beyond outstanding, it is expected that Bucks Blade would land this victory at Wimbledon today.
Droopys Lorenzo is likely to give Bucks Blade a run for his money as he is in extremely good shape.
Trained by D. Childs, the hound will race today with odds of 7 to 2.
The son of Slip The Lark, out of Droopys Mo, emerged victorious in the Grade IR Follow @Betfairsport On Twitter at Perry Barr, on the 21st of March, 2012.
He took a narrow victory, defeating Jazz Apollo by ½ a length in 28.28 seconds.
He finished as a runner-up in his most recent start, which was the Grade OR Coral.co.uk Standard (duplicated) which took place at Hove, on 29th March, 2012.
He raced against Jazz Apollo again but this time luck was not in his favour as he fell 1 ¼ lengths behind him.
These two runners will heat the track today as they bring their best to Wimbledon.
Odds are higher for Bucks Blade as he has a hat-trick on his record this season, but his rivals should not be under-estimated.
Droopys Lorenzo will certainly give him a run for his money, and if luck favours D. Childs, his trainee might end up to be the winner, or at least a runner-up.
