What does Buddhism (specifically Thervada) teach as the origin of the human species i.e., creationism or evolution?

Also, how does the Buddhist religious culture look upon:

A) Abortion

B) Homosexuality

I'm having trouble finding valid specifics on these areas for my paper, please help!

THANKS! :-)

  1. You can read about Buddhist perspective on creation, abortion and homosexuality at the links below.

  2. Buddhists dont believe that there ever was a beginning. Which makes sense since nothing can be created out of nothing. Recent scientific theory which counters the big bang theory by saying that there is an endless repeat of big bangs sort of supports this view.
