I was recently prescribed budeprion sr 150mg, twice a day - for mild anxiety and smoking cessation. I have never taken meds like this and am wondering what experiences you all have had with this. Any side effects? weight loss/gain? Thanks!!

  2. If your symptoms are mild possibly you will like this drug. I had a bad time on it. Chest pain, increased paranoia, and probably the worst panic attack I have ever had. I still dont have medication for my anxiety, but at least I am not on something to make it worse! Just be careful.

  3. I was on Lexapro, but it made me gain weight. I am now taking off that weight since starting Wellbutrin (Budeprion).  My side effects have been a tiny bit of dizziness when I turn my head left or right, but after the first month it went away.  My ears already ring and I haven't noticed it any worse since starting Budeprion.

It is working well for me regarding mood. I am not a smoker, so I don't know how well it helps with the nicotine addiction.

  4. I am taking budeprion sr 150 twice a day as well for major depression.

My personal side effects (although of course it varies for everyone)

+Loss of appetite (this is good for me, trying to lose weight)

+Increased energy (again, this is also good for me)

    +Better concentration/alertness

    +Occasional blurred vision

    +Insomnia

Overall, I have had positive results with Wellbutrin. Be sure to take it 6 hours apart and not close to your bedtime as it may cause a loss of sleep.

I have no idea how it works for a smoking cessation, but, it has improved my depression.
