Budgeting for vegas vacation?

We are staying at Mandalay Bay in August for 3 nights. How much should we budget for dinners, alcohol while gambling, spending money,etc.

It really depends tremendously.  Vegas has some of the best fine dining restaurants in the country, so you can potentially spend a whole lot on dining if that's what you're there for.

if you are gambling alcohol is free.

if you are gambling enough meals are free.

spending money? hmmmm... shopping for armani and vera wang? or just trinkets? really up to you.

I always have $1000 per day/per person.  If I have extra I bring it home and start saving for the next trip.

You can eat cheap if you want to,  but know that if you want to go to a club or lounge (at the main hotels) it will cost you $20-30 dollars to get in.  This is BEFORE drinks, which run about $10 a crack.  Only you knows how much you will spend gambling, but you can eat at decent places & then go for one really good dinner somewehre amazing.  Be sure to make a reservation if its Friday or Sat.. or you will eat at 5pm or 10pm.

It all depends on where you eat and where you gamble. Not all buffets are $1.99 like they show in the movies. You can spend anywhere from $12  a meal to $100 a meal. I do recomend going the Harley Davidson Cafe..low prices and Awesome food. as far as the alcohol most (but not all) casinos let you drink for free while gambling. If you tip the waitress she'll keep your drinks coming. The alcohol prices aren't really that bad though. You can get cheaper Souveniors etc. if you go off the strip. It shouldn't cost a lot if you're not planning on going to many shows. Some can cost up to $200 a ticket. Have fun!
