Budgie and cockatiel...food?

Question

i now have my budgie and my cockatiel in the same cage. there fine but tiko my tiel keeps on eating quins (budgie) food. quin has seed and tiko has pellets but tiko prefers seed, wich is not what i feetd him. how can i stop him from eating my poor budgies food?

Both birds will eat both types of food. No harm there. Bubblez response is a true. Both birds will eat a lot of the same foods, even people food. Experiment. Dont give sugar, apples, or avacados though. They are toxic.

well there isnt a law againist another bird eating another birds food.so i guess u can put more bugie food out .this way they will eat what the prefer also try to give them fruits and veggies that will make them healthy

I have a cockatiel and a canary in the same cage... and they like each other and eat each others food.   =P

(People told me not to put them in the same cage but I tried it and it worked out great!  =])  

So I would say as long as they are not fighting over it then they should be ok.

And as long as both of them are eating daily then it's not a problem.    :-]
